Branding Design CIRILLO

Graduation project, Cirillo is a hypothetical Brand of a family winery with Piemontese vines, which has decided to make its way into the world of blockchain and NFTs.

Analyzing the Italian wine sector, it is evident that every wine brand in choosing the name of the cellars, and therefore of the brand, a particular historical element of the company or of the family, is used. In this case: Cirillo.

Challenge

Starting from zero and developing a comprehensive brand identity that would resonate with both traditional wine consumers and a modern, new audience. Creating a cohesive brand, including a logo, brand manual, and visual identity, required careful attention to the balance between the heritage of the Langhe region and the forward-thinking integration of NFT and blockchain technology.

The required project were:

  • Creation of the Brand, Brand Identity, and corresponding Brand Manual;

  • A Landing Page, where products can be purchased, as well as information about the company and the use of blockchain;

  • Social and Web Advertising, through both static and interactive banners.

Results

Analyzing the Italian wine industry, it is clear that in choosing the name of wineries, and thus the brand, a specific historical element of the company or family is often used. Wineries are typically named after the family surname or the name of the territory where the agricultural business is located.

For the creation of a project related to a Brand Identity that would help in understanding the thesis topic, and inspired by the Langhe region where I grew up, I decided to develop a hypothetical brand for a family-owned winery with Piedmontese grape varieties, which has chosen to make its mark in the world of blockchain and NFTs.

Process

Research & Analysis: I conducted studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights. Analyzing the Italian wine sector, it is clear that when choosing the name for wineries and brands, there is often a focus on a specific historical element related to the company or the family.
Wineries are typically named after the family surname or the name of the territory where the agricultural business is located.

Prototyping & Wireframing: I designed low-fidelity prototypes to visualize the Brand, and to look forward to crate different lines of wines.
For the creation of the wine collections, I drew inspiration from the names of the gods of Mount Olympus. Starting with Dionysus, the Greek god of the vine, wine, and mystical frenzy.
Right after I had all ready, I started wireframing the layout and navigation of the website.

Usability Testing: I conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, I made necessary adjustments to the website.

Visual Design & Style Guide: Additionally I created a Brand Manual to help maintain the cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the website.
